Professional Development Award

Welcome to the ECC Professional Development Award application. The ECC Professional Development Award supports early career MSA members by covering registration for a Sunday short course at M&M 2026. An early career is defined as “within 5 years of receiving a terminal degree or 3 years of completing their final postdoc,” as of December 31 of the previous year.

Eligibility

You are eligible if you:

• Are an active MSA member
• Will attend M&M 2026 (registration required if selected)
• Meet one of the following:

?      Completed your terminal degree (PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s) between Dec 31, 2020 – Dec 31, 2025, OR

?      Are currently a postdoc, OR

?      Completed a postdoc between Dec 31, 2022 – Dec 31, 2025

What the award covers

• Full registration for one Sunday short course
• Meeting registration
• Travel and lodging

What is NOT covered

3. Submit short responses describing your interest and need

Results

Applications will be reviewed after the deadline, and applicants will be notified by 06/15/2026. All decisions will be sent via email.
