X93 - High School STEM Workshop

X93 - High School STEM Workshop

Organized by the MSA Education Outreach Committee

X93 is a two-day workshop focused on providing hands-on STEM learning for middle and high school students, using microscopy as a pathway for building interest in a STEM field.

Day One: A full day of learning in a state-of-the-art microscopy facility, the Nanofab Electron Microscopy & Surface Analysis Lab at the University of Utah. The goal is to provide students with an opportunity to learn about microscopy and sit down and explore the microcosm using various electron microscopes.

Day Two: the students will attend the national Microscopy and Microanalysis conference. There, they will tour the exhibit floor, attend talks, and further explore the latest microscopy technologies.

Attendance to both days is free of charge. Boxed lunches will be provided on both days.

Registration is required to attend this event.
